Vector
artwork is generated in software such as Adobe Illustrator,
CorelDraw, and Freehand. Vector images have the flexibility
to be resized without effecting the quality of the image.
Vector images will retain sharp crisp lines as compared
to bitmap (rasterized) images such as photos which can
show jagged edges and other distortions when enlarged.
It is adventageous to design logos
and other artwork in vector format especially if being
used in a variety of sizes in various medias (ie. signeage,
advertising, marketing materials).
